How did you two meet?

At University studying maths and stats.

What was it that made you choose Bachilton Barn?

Everything about the place- don’t mean to sound cliche but honestly everything was just perfect. The staff, the scenery, the cottages, dog friendly- think it was made for us!

Did you find Bachilton Barn to be a sustainable venue? How could we improve our sustainability?

Bachilton were great- we made particular use of the car charging point which was very handy to have on sight. The staff were great at letting us borrow used items- think this is a wonderful idea to keep things that can be used again for future couples!

What was important to you when planning your wedding?

We just wanted all our family and friends to have the best time and enjoy it all as much as we knew we did- seeing everyone so happy and bringing everyone together again I think we did a not bad job!

Tell us about your big day! What was your favourite part?

Honestly cant pick one single bit- the whole weekend was just incredible from start to finish. Having the cottages was amazing! Being able to spend some extra time over the weekend with our close family and make memories with our parents/ grandparents/ aunts/ uncles and cousins was something we both never will forget and treasure.

What tips and tricks would you give to other couples planning their wedding?

Honestly just enjoy it and do what you want- people will love it all if you do so don’t stress about it!

How are you enjoying married life?

I don’t think it has quite hit us yet. There is something quite lovely about the fact that we are married and had the most amazing day but in day to day life nothing has really changed other than we genuinely have the most amazing memories to look back on- it is very wholesome!
